Éric Primault

Éric Primault is a former localization tester and junior translator at Nintendo of Europe. He translated text from Japanese or English to French for them in games and documents relating to video game projects. Among the games localized or translated by Primault into French include Metroid: Samus Returns, as well as Miitopia, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. He is credited under special thanks in Kirby Battle Royale.

He left Nintendo in October 2017 and currently works as a freelance English/Japanese-French translator, based in Frankfurt. He has also worked as the owner and manager of a video game store in France, and as a freelance cultural journalist for nearly ten years.
