Chozo collecting Aeion Orbs in Chozo Memory 2/11
Aeion Orbs are a pick-up in Metroid: Samus Returns, similar to the Energy Capsules of past games. They are small, floating orbs of Aeion that restore Samus's Aeion Gauge. The smaller ones restore 10 units of Aeion, and the larger ones restore 25 units. Aeion Orbs are dropped from enemies that are killed or countered. Their gold color contrasts with the purple Energy Capsules, and are much more plentiful than Energy Capsules, even appearing when Samus's Aeion Gauge is full. There are also Big Aeion Orbs in certain locations that fully restore Aeion.
In the second Chozo Memory, a "Thoha researcher" is shown collecting an Aeion Orb from a dead Hornoad.
Aeion Orbs do not appear in Metroid Dread, since the energy now regenerates on its own.
