An Aeion Tank is an expansion in Metroid: Samus Returns. With each Aeion Tank, Samus's Aeion Gauge is increased and expanded by 50 units, allowing her to store and use more Aeion energy. The Aeion Tanks appear as floating yellow cubes with a pattern on each face, and each tank is positioned above a pedestal. Samus can obtain 15 Aeion Tanks in the game, in all areas of SR388, except for Area 8.
Aeion Tanks do not exist in Metroid Dread, as all Aeion Abilities in this game consume the entire bar, except for the Phantom Cloak.
