Akira Fujiwara is a composer and former sound programmer at Nintendo. Fujiwara composed Metroid Fusion alongside Minako Hamano, and went on to program sound and music for Super Princess Peach, Tetris DS and Master of Illusion. The last of these games was released in 2006; whether Fujiwara remains with Nintendo is unknown. Fujiwara's music for Fusion was included on the Metroid Prime & Fusion Original Soundtracks dual-CD album released in 2003.
