Alinos[1] is a theme from Metroid Prime Hunters. It was composed by Lawrence Schwedler.
Description[]
As its title indicates, Alinos is heard throughout the rooms Samus Aran visits during her first visit to Alinos in the game's Adventure Mode; during Alinos multiplayer matches, Alinos Gateway plays instead. Most rooms visited on Samus' second visit to the planet feature the more brooding The Elders until she acquires the second Octolith from the area, after which Alinos permanently replaces that theme. Alinos is also available in the game's Music Test as track 17 after defeating Gorea's second form.
Alinos features a percussion beat that is nearly identical to the Chozo Ruins theme from Metroid Prime. However, the song features an entirely original melody, consisting largely of low choir chants and high-pitched synths, making it distinct enough to not be considered an outright remix. Therefore, it remains as catchy as the Chozo Ruins theme, but has a comparatively darker and more mysterious tone.
