The Angstrom Analogue Radio Mapping Array (also known as the GFB Inter-Stellar Network and AARMA) is a network featured on the now defunct Metroid Prime website. It is likely the property of the Galactic Federation, similar to the GF Database in the later Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, and features a similar model to the gyroscopic Data Network interface of the later Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The network featured information on the items ingame, enemies and planets and other celestial objects. Notably, this website is the only instance where Corella 5, Armaged Pantheon, 2466 URSA and Solairon 12 are mentioned, and none of these celestial bodies have been referenced in subsequent media. Screensavers were downloadable from the links on the website.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
The angstrom or ångström ([ˈɔŋstrøm]) is a unit of length equal to 10−10 m (one ten-billionth of a metre) or 0.1 nm, and is used in astronomical studies.
