An Autsniper is a moving turret of Chozo origin that appears in Metroid Dread.
Description[]
Autsnipers are primarily found in Dairon. They are positioned on the ground, ceiling, and walls. They aim and fire a powerful laser beam at detected intruders, dealing a large amount of damage. Samus can use a Melee Counter against an Autsniper right before it fires, and can use an aerial Melee Counter should the turret be positioned on a ceiling or wall. Missiles and Charge Beam shots can also damage it, although these options are less effective than the Melee Counter.
A few Autsnipers also appear in Elun after Samus acquires the Plasma Beam in that area, demonstrating the Beam's effectiveness on robotic targets.

- The Autsniper is similar in appearance and behavior to the Alimbic Turret v2.7, though this is most likely a coincidence.
