Battle Simulation 'Samus Aran' is an emulation of a combat scenario with the Bounty Hunter Samus Aran alluded to in a panel in the Phazon Mines. The simulation was created to train Space Pirate forces how to fight and defeat Samus. The simulation seems to have been created from previous tactical data collected on Samus' battle style. It was know to have been used for the skill evaluation of the Elite Pirates, although it is likely this test was also taken by other Pirate forces as part of their training. Scans state that the Elite Pirates were able to defeat the Samus simulation in 74% of cases, although High Command were not entirely satisfied with this result and demanded a higher percentage by the completion of Project Helix.

It appears that the Aran simulation was not correctly representitive of Samus' battle prowess, as she was able to defeat all of the Elite Pirates in the Phazon Mines.

In the GameCube version of Metroid Prime, it is found in Omega Research, but in the Wii and PAL versions, it is found in Elite Control. The Galactic Federation also possessed simulation technology, and were able to create the Zebes-Horogram, a simulation of a Zebesian for training purposes.

Samus also possesses a battle simulation of herself, as seem in Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt.
