The Battle of the Hive is an unseen event that can be presumed to be either the Ing's takeover of the Sanctuary Fortress, or a conflict between the Ing and the Luminoth in the Ing Hive. It took place prior to the events of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
C-Pul is one warrior lost in the battle. It is briefly mentioned in a description obtained by scanning C-Pul's statue in Controller Access.
