Gargoyle being disassembled.

The Battleships Gargoyle (ガーゴイル Gāgoiru?), Gorgon (ゴルゴン Gorugon?) and Wraith (レイス Reisu?) are three fighter ships part of the Greed Corps in Metroid EX. They were among the interstellar firing squad set to execute Joey Apronika, Diesel and Knight in chapter nine, but their guns were bent by the song of the Craftsmen, who had followed Joey and Diesel to the galactic ruins. Excitedly, the Craftsmen jump onto these ships, as well as the others, and begin dismantling them one by one. The Gargoyle crew reports that "weird creatures" are "obsessed" with their ship.

Each of these ships is named after a supernatural creature.

Gorgon and Wraith are taken over.
