Bigkran-X[1] is a hybrid creature created by X Parasite seen in Metroid Dread.
Description[]
The Bigkran-X is a fusion of Muzby and Vulkran traits. It possesses a cracked, stone-like carapace inherited from Vulkran combined with the body of a Muzby, including its enlarged rear limbs. Like other Muzby varieties, a Bigkran-X turns its back to enemies when in combat, keeping its head hidden and low to the ground.
When agitated, a Bigkran-X will spit a stream of six magma globules at Samus from an opening at its rear, which can be seen smoking. This attack can be Melee Countered if Samus is close enough, and the magma balls can be destroyed. Being hit by a magma globule deals 60 units of damage to Samus. A Bigkran-X can be killed with two hits from the Screw Attack; it yields two X Parasites when killed.
Bigkran-X appear in Artaria, Cataris, and Ghavoran. Often, they result from an X Parasite infecting a Muzby once Samus enters the room.
