Biologic's research team is a group of scientists employed by the Biologic Space Laboratories organization. In Metroid Fusion, they came to the Surface of SR388 to study the change in the ecosystem since Samus Aran exterminated the Metroids in Metroid II: Return of Samus and Metroid: Samus Returns. Samus herself accompanied them, acting as a bodyguard and an escort. She was later infected by an X Parasite, causing her to lose consciousness and crash her gunship into the neighbouring asteroid belt. The research team's vessel recovered her Escape Pod and took it to the Galactic Federation Headquarters for her to be treated.
