Bloatsac

Bloatsacs are stationary plant-like organisms that thrive in the Torvus Bog area of Aether in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. They cannot be damaged by any weapon in Samus' arsenal, though they do not cause her harm. Bloatsacs appear in only one room, the Forgotten Bridge.

The humble Bloatsac contributes to its ecology by producing large amounts of benevolent gases. It thrives in damp enviroments, though it can survive in most climates and terrains. The Bloatsac secretes a venemous sap over its body. Very few creatures can ingest the sap and survive, making it a useful defensive mechanism for the plant.
