Brinstar (Melee),[1][2] also known as simply Brinstar,[3][4] is featured on the Planet Zebes: Brinstar stage of Super Smash Bros. Melee. It is a medley of Brinstar (Metroid), Samus Aran's Appearance Fanfare, and Title (Metroid) from the original Metroid. It can be heard here: [1]
Smashing... Live!, a live orchestral performance of the Melee soundtrack, featured an arrangement of Brinstar Depths (Melee) and Brinstar (Melee) titled Depth of Brinstar. It can be heard here: [2]
Brinstar (Melee) returns in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In 3DS, Wii U, and Ultimate, the theme is abridged, with the Brinstar (Metroid) reprise cut out in order to make the song under a minute and a half in length.
In the Wii U game, the Brinstar stage is not featured, so the song instead plays on Norfair. In Ultimate, it can be played on any stage from the Metroid series. It also is the background music for Samus's gameplay trailer in Ultimate.
The song is included on the red CD of the Smashing Soundtrack that was a Club Nintendo bonus for registering the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U games.
