Carvex is a plant-like boss featured in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.
Description[]
Carvex is presumably encountered on planet Viewros, located in the center of a large circular open-air chamber adorned by Lamorn statues. Carvex resembles a flower with large purple petals or leaves obscuring its pistil-like body. When exposed, it has a large green sac that may be the result of possession by the new Metroid species; this is its weakpoint and is vulnerable to Missiles. It attacks by shooting thorn-like projections across the floor of the chamber. It also possesses a long appendage, which resembles a purple flower with thorns along its stem; this appendage is not visible when the pistil is exposed.[1]
