Boss or Miniboss?[]
What is the technical difference between Bosses and Minibosses? I consider a boss fight to be:
- A fight that you know is comming, Like the Seed fights, the Dark Temple fights, and the Big Room fights. (in Meroid Prime, you can tell when a boss was comming by the BIG rooms at the end of levels.
- A fight that has multiple stages
- In the 3-D games, the bosses have health bars
- only occur once in the game
Minibosses:
- are smaller than bosses most of the time.
- are suprise most of the time.
- may or may not have health meters.

- I'm pretty sure that, despite having a health bar, Dark Missile Trooper should count as a mini boss. You could kill it in one blow when using a charged up Light Beam shot. Same thing for the Metroid Hatchers except with the Nova Beam and the X-Ray Visor. However, Dark Missile Trooper is easy anyways, while the Metroid Hatcher is otherwise quite difficult. - I agree. Having said the above, are the Sheegoth and the Imago minibosses or bosses? They are both suprise fights, and the Sheegoth doesn't have a health bar, but they both have a degree of "epicness" present in some of the lesser boss fights. Long Live the Squees! Squeemaster
