Chozo Base Asset 04[1] is a small creature in Metroid Dread.
Description[]
It appears in the background of three rooms on the upper left side of Dairon, and cannot be interacted with. The creature's small size and location behind windows in both rooms make it difficult to spot. However, viewed up close through hacks, it is shown to be a vaguely worm-like creature. It is placed on a table beside a monitor and a canister with an unknown substance in it; these are part of its model. In-game, a flickering holographic screen appears in front of the table.[2]
Its shell, tail and flesh resembles that of Experiment No. Z-57, another specimen in the Dairon laboratory.[3] This may suggest a connection between the two experimental creatures.
Because these creatures do not move, they are most likely dead. They were not reanimated by the X Parasites after their release from Elun.
