The Chozo Ice Temple (called the Western Temple by Space Pirates) is an abandoned Chozo building in the Phendrana Drifts in Metroid Prime that connects to the Chapel Tunnel. The bottom floor houses a large Chozo Statue holding a plate, which Samus can use as a platform to reach the higher elevation of the temple. At the top lies a small shrine where four Chozo busts adorn the nearby walls in between pillars, with a large Chozo Statue hanging above a large circular pedestal. The floor on the higher area appears to be made of a frozen waterfall, with the ice covering the floor being strong enough to reflect all of Samus's weaponry except the Plasma Beam, which will cause the ice to produce steam but never truly melt said ice. The entrance to the Chapel Tunnel is blocked by a gate. Scanning the four busts of Chozo will reveal the Chozo Shaman. It can be destroyed with a Missile, granting access to a Bomb Slot behind it that activates the gate. A Chozo Artifact can be found here.

This gate blocks the entrance to the next room. A strange statue resides at the pivot.
Trivia[]
- The Space Pirates state that the Chozo Ice Temple is off limits, likely due to problems with the Sheegoths. This is found in a scan in Save Station B: "Western Temple is in phase 2 lockdown. All projects are postponed. Under no circumstances are personnel to attempt access."
