The control tower on Norion is a building equipped with targeting equipment for aiming the orbital cannon. The tower's entrance is protected by a powered door crafted out of Jovian Steel. The door must have power from all three generators to open. Samus and the three other hunters entered the control room and were aiming the cannon when Dark Samus appeared. All hunters were shot with Phazon; the three hunters, besides Samus, were unable to operate the cannon. A wounded Samus aimed and fired the cannon and destroys the Leviathan before falling into unconsciousness.
Trivia
- This and Subchamber 5 are the only rooms in the Metroid Prime Trilogy with no actual game play, as all the events that take place in this room happen in a cutscene.
