The Copied Power Suits are two clones of the Power Suit encountered in The Research Facility (Part II), a level of Adventure Mode: The Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Apparently created from Shadow Bugs like other character doppelgangers in the story, the Power Suits confront Zero Suit Samus and Pikachu as they are attempting to retrieve her Varia Suit. Zero Suit Samus and Pikachu must then defeat them by knocking them off the stage and past the blast lines, as in a regular Super Smash Bros. battle. The clones use Samus's moveset and are capable of utilizing any items that spawn on the stage, such as Home-Run Bats.
After their defeat, Zero Suit Samus regains her Varia Suit and proceeds to destroy an incoming army of R.O.B.s before escaping the facility with Pikachu.
These characters have a purple and red color scheme similar to the Gravity Suit. They are named in the title of their introduction cutscene, "The Copied Power Suit", which may suggest that the Shadow Bugs duplicated the Power Suit rather than Samus herself. This is the only logical explanation for how they came to exist, as Shadow Bugs must have access to a character in trophy form in order to replicate said character, and Samus is never shown to have been in trophy form before The Great Maze, the final level of the Subspace Emissary. Another duplicate of Samus with a green tint is fought in that level.
The Sector 1 theme is heard during the battle against the Copied Power Suits. This may have been intended as an indirect reference to the SA-X, another copy of Samus/her Power Suit in Metroid Fusion created by a foreign substance (in that case, the X Parasites).
