Daisuke Matsuoka (松岡大祐 Matsuoka Daisuke ) is a composer at Nintendo. Matsuoka was the composer of Metroid: Samus Returns, in the first time he has worked on a Metroid game. Matsuoka worked on the game under guidance from veteran series composers Kenji Yamamoto and Minako Hamano, remixing classic themes from them, and Ryoji Yoshitomi's original work for Metroid II: Return of Samus.
Matsuoka worked at Nintendo SPD from 2009-2015, and currently works for EPD as of 2015. Non-Metroid games he has worked on include Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Tomodachi Life, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Nintendo Badge Arcade, among others.
