Daivo[1] is an enemy found in Burenia and Ferenia on ZDR.
Description[]
The Daivo is a shelled creature which attacks by spewing a Daivo Swarm;[2] before doing so, it is briefly open to a Melee Counter. It walks forward on its front legs, making light thump sounds as it does so. Contact with a Daivo deals a whopping 45 units of damage.
The Daivo Swarm behaves like other swarming creatures such as Yojimbee; although each of the spawn is weak individually, they follow Samus Aran and try to overwhelm her with large numbers.
Later, the Daivo are infected by the X Parasites released from Elun, but their overall behavior and appearance does not change. The only difference now is that the Daivo and the Daivo Swarm release X when killed.
