A "Dark Blueroot Tree" is a plant featured in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, in certain areas of the Dark Agon Wastes. When stepped into, Samus' visor will be flooded with blinding black-red light. This plant is a Dark Aether version of an Aether Blueroot Tree, but only appears as black translucent growths on the walls and cannot be scanned. It should be noted that they are not Darklings, but merely dark versions of the Aether plant. They are located in Save Station 2, Judgment Pit, Save Station 1, Dark Agon Temple Access, Ing Cache 1 and Ing Cache 3.
