Welcome to Wikitroid's data index, the starting point to find or add any data used on the site. What is data? Data would be any text taken directly from the games or other Metroid series media. This can be logbook information, transcripts, interviews, or anything else that can be quoted on articles.
So why have the data here instead of placing it directly on the articles? Primarily to ensure only one version of the information exists site-wide. This helps keep track of any changes and allows those changes to be universal. Fixing a mistake only has to be done once, instead of hunting down possible locations; there's 7,235 content pages to look through, after all!
Keeping the data separate also provides other benefits. Commonly used templates like Logbook can be prebuilt for convenience. The data page can also give a preformatted citation template and even list all possible locations of its source, providing a quick reference when viewing it. Speaking of reference, calling a data page gives links to quickly navigate to them so you can view their full information or make an edit. If you just want those, you can call the page with the "ref" parameter option.

You can navigate the index with the links below or add a new one. The system started in 2021 but was restructured in late 2025, so there may be a lot missing or being unused in articles. Feel free to help out and don't be afraid to ask for assistance.
If the editor doesn't load the template structure, copy the following code and then save page: {{subst:Data page preload}}
