Devon III[1] is a planet briefly referred to in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. SGT E. Monz is said in an unused Logbook entry to have been stationed on Devon III when he was a green private, where an infestation of insectoid creatures similar to Splinters occurred, and it took two cycles to exterminate them.

Trooper Logs[]
- SPC B. Campbell
- "The sarge says these "splinters" remind him of some killer bug he saw on Devon III once. All I know is the damn things are fast and take a lot to drop. Pretty soon we'll have to go to bayonets. Everyone's low on ammo...even Klatt, and he's the stingiest grunt I know."
- SPC F. Triplette
- "The sarge says those "Splinters" remind him of some killer bug he saw on another planet once. All I know is the things are fast and take a lot to drop. Pretty soon we'll have to go to bayonets. Everyone's low on ammo... even Brode, and he's the stingiest grunt I know."
- SGT E. Monz (unused entry)
- "I swear I've seen these bugs before. There was an infestation on Devon III back when I was a green private; it took 2 cycles to cleanse the place. If these are the same bug, we're gonna need bigger guns. Bigger guns, and a lot more guys."
