Digital Frontier (株式会社デジタル・フロンティア Kabushiki gaisha Dejitaru Furontia?) is a motion picture production company in Japan with a distinguished large scale CG production department, and a motion capture studio called "OPAKIS" in Odaiba, Tokyo. The motion capture for Metroid: Other M was recorded by Digital Frontier. Motion capture has been recorded for many other video games as well, such as the 2002 remake of Resident Evil, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, Lost Odyssey, Yakuza 4, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. For Super Smash Bros., Digital Frontier animated the CG portions of character reveal trailers trailer, a few of which feature Samus Aran.[1] They later returned for Ultimate to animate the character reveal trailers, including A Piercing Screech (Ridley 's reveal trailer) and the "World of Light" opening and ending cutscenes, which also feature Samus. The director of these cutscenes was Yohei Shimozawa.[2]

Kaori Onodera and Taiki Ebisawa, an animator and modeler (respectively) at Polygon Pictures for Other M, worked at Digital Frontier before the game's development. Hiroaki Sato, a technical assistant and motion capture actor at Digital Frontier, portrayed an unspecified character(s) in Other M.

In addition to Japan, Digital Frontier has subsidiaries in Malaysia and Taiwan.
