A dilapidated gate is a gate with an ornate design, present in Skybridge Hera on SkyTown, Elysia. The gate is a work of woven metal with a red jewel in its center, rather resembling the Targeting Reticule. On its sides are three long "fingers" connected to two posts. The gate is attached to the room's bridge.
There are three of these gates in Skybridge Hera. All of them are unstable and can be ripped off their hinges with Samus's Grapple Lasso. When removed, the gates completely fall apart, with parts of them flying in different directions. Despite this, they are otherwise impervious to her weaponry.
The gates guard the equally unsturdy bridge in the room that begins to give way when Samus steps on it, and completely collapses when she rips off the third gate. A similar gate is found in Zipline Station Charlie, but it has an energy lock that must be energized to open.
