Description[]

The trailer consists of footage from Dread, including cutscenes and gameplay. It begins with Samus flying to ZDR, before showing her fights with Corpius, Raven Beak, and landing after dropping through a pit in the Ferenia E.M.M.I. Zone. As the narrator describes Samus as "the best of all of us", she is shown examining her hand after regaining consciousness in Artaria, interspliced with her encounters with Kraid, E.M.M.I.-02SM and Corpius. Ensuing clips show her walking into Corpius' room, finding the Flash Shift, battling an Alpha and Gamma Metroid (in a flashback of the events of Metroid: Samus Returns), and being infected by an X Parasite (in a flashback to Metroid Fusion).

The narrator describes Samus's battles; while this occurs, the loading cutscene when Samus is using a Shuttle plays, with clips from Metroid (Samus fighting Ridley), Metroid II: Return of Samus (fighting a Zeta Metroid), Super Metroid (fighting Crocomire) and Fusion (fighting Zazabi's Core-X). The words "Not actual gameplay footage." appear at the bottom of the screen during this part. After this, the in-game flashback to Fusion featuring the SA-X plays.

Next, part of the pre-Corpius battle cutscene plays, with a short sequence of action-oriented gameplay clips before showing Samus waking up after she is attacked by Raven Beak. The narrator describes the "deep scars" left on Samus by her missions during this, and says "every hunter has a final hunt" as the scene where Raven Beak chokes Samus out plays. Two final clips play, where Samus lands in Kraid's room, and spots E.M.M.I.-01P approaching her. A final sequence of clips ensues in which Samus is chased by E.M.M.I.-02SM and E.M.M.I.-04SB, before being caught by E.M.M.I.-03MB.

The trailer cuts to the logo as the E.M.M.I. flashes, with "Available Now" displayed below. A second later, this changes to "Free Demo Available Now", referring to the demo released on the same day as the trailer.

Aqua 001 plays during the first part of the trailer, up to the SA-X flashback. After this, it changes to Cave 003, which lasts until E.M.M.I.-01P's appearance, at which point the Emmy Chase theme begins.

Transcript[]

Let me tell you a story about the most powerful bounty hunter in the galaxy... Samus Aran.

Samus is the best of all of us, and yet, her story is beyond us.

Raised by mysterious creatures, she was sharpened beyond humanity, forced by fate, circumstance and duty to survive.

The battles she's faced are beyond imagination. Fearsome aliens, apocalyptic creatures, and even monsters within.

Mission after mission, Samus has proven to be infallible, strong, ferocious... still, every mission leaves deep scars, and every hunter has a final hunt.

This is a story of the hunter becoming the hunted.

—Narrator
