Dizzeans are underwater creatures in Metroid Dread. They are found in the waters of Artaria and Burenia, and one room in Ferenia. While weak individually, they move in large swarms that can overwhelm Samus.
Missiles and Diffusion Beam fire can kill multiple Dizzeans at once; the Plasma Beam is also effective at thinning out a swarm with rapid fire. Samus can also opt to use a Spin Jump Attack to pass through the Dizzeans and kill them on contact; this becomes more effective as she gains better aquatic mobility options (particularly the Screw Attack).
After Samus leaves Elun with the Plasma Beam, Dizzeans are infected by tiny X Parasites, but this does not change their appearance or behavior at all. Samus does not disengage from her idle pose if she assumes it while she is close to Dizzeans, although they can still come into contact with her and cause damage.[1]

Metroid Dread Report Volume 8[]
"This sea creature resembles a small jellyfish. While individually weak, they find strength in numbers and always collect in large smacks. Take out the group quickly so as not to be cornered."
