An EMP field is an attack used by the Steamlord in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is a localized attack that the Steamlord fires directly at Samus. Unlike a Space Pirate EMP grenade, it does not completely scramble her Combat Visor, but electrical currents will pass along her Combat Visor. If Samus is in Hypermode when she is hit with this attack, it will cause a Hypermode Failure even if she is in Corrupted Hypermode.
