The "elite chamber" is a room in Hanubia. It appears in Metroid Dread.

Description[]

This is a contained room with a walkway outside the Hanubia facility. It is passed through while Samus is exploring the area in search of Itorash, where Raven Beak is located. Since it is outside, the room is exposed to the rainstorm, with the ceiling of one building in the background having noticeable runoff from its roof. Two crates are present beside this building, and lightning strikes are visible in the background as well. A ceiling overhead prevents most of the rain from landing on the playable plane. Several loose cables hang from the ceiling, shaking because of the wind. Three cables are also present on the floor, which do not move. Part of the ceiling consists of elongated, yellow lights.

When Samus enters this room for the first time, she is confronted by the Elite Chozo Soldier, who jumps in from the background and stands tall for a moment before engaging her. It presumably entered this room from the background of the previous one, where it disappeared behind a wall outside.[1] Samus is forced to battle this final soldier. Upon defeating it, she grabs its head, slams it to the floor and siphons its energy using her newly manifested power. Once defeated, Samus is able to leave and access Itorash. If she returns to this room following the battle with the Elite, two Sharpaws will have taken up residence.

If Samus dies while fighting the Elite Chozo Soldier, a checkpoint places her outside the door to its chamber.

Connecting rooms[]

Inhabitants[]

If the elite chamber is re-entered from the upper shipyard (left), two Sharpaws will be present. If it is entered from the right (the direction of Itorash), the second Sharpaw will form from an X Parasite already present in the room.
