Steambots exit opened chambers.
Elysian recharge chambers are oval-shaped pod structures, which Steambots enter in order to recharge. Several are found in the Steambot Barracks of SkyTown, Elysia. It is possible that the Steamlord may be associated with these machines, and the word "Elysian" in the title indicates that the Steambots, and possibly the Steamlord and Tinbots, are descendants of the unseen Elysians.
During the battle with the Steamlord in the Barracks, some of the recharge chambers open and spawn Steambots to attack Samus. The Steamlord will revive any Steambots that Samus downs, rather than have them return to the chambers.
After the Steamlord's defeat, the five chambers that remained closed during the battle open, and reveal safety release valves that Samus can rip out of them with her Grapple Lasso. This removes the gas pipes that hold gates in place over the exit door, allowing Samus to leave the Barracks.
