An energy barrier is an energy-powered, transparent barrier, encountered as an obstacle in Powerworks Access during Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. This barrier is in the shape of a partial semi-circle, and light aqua green in color. It covers a tunnel that Samus can navigate with her Morph Ball, and is powered by a Grapple Voltage Terminal next to it. Removing it is as simple as using the Grapple Voltage to drain the terminal completely of its energy, at which point the barrier will disappear.
The containment units in the Xenoresearch Labs of SkyTown, Elysia are also described in their scans to have energy barriers active. Said barriers are removed when Samus takes out Energy Cell 5.
