"Escue's gazebo" is a room in Ferenia. It appears in Metroid Dread.

Description[]

This room is tucked into a small corner on the eastern side of Ferenia, only accessible via a remote shaft. It features four open windows in the background, with buttresses, draped flags with the Mawkin symbol, and five large Chozo Soldier statues in multiple stances. The background wall appears to be round; hence the "gazebo" designation. The flags are affected by the wind in the background, which shows them to be partially torn at their ends.

One in the center of the room stands tall, with two kneeling beside him and the last two stood against the walls on either side. Each statue is carrying a spear, with the kneeling soldiers' spears turned so their tips are to the floor, while the center statue's spear is pointed toward the ceiling. The center statue does not resemble Raven Beak, implying that it is a high-ranking soldier under the Mawkin leader's command. A mysterious substance grows over parts of the floor and walls; this may represent X residue or another unknown substance.

When Samus enters this room, an X Parasite mimicking an especially powerful Quetzoa, Escue, flies in through the windows. Escue's flying in the background disturbs the Mawkin flags and causes them to blow in the wind even more. Once Escue is defeated by Samus, its Core-X can be absorbed to obtain the Storm Missile ability.

Should Samus revisit this room later, three Blindflies will have taken up residence.
