Feeding Pit Access is a room found in the Dark Agon Wastes. It appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. This room contains a one-chance scan of two Weblings, the only creatures in the room besides the two Bladepods. Once they are shot by the Light Beam, they never appear again.

The Aether version of this room is Biostorage Access.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc[]

The "Dark Memory Tentacle".

This room underwent several changes between the final game and the Bonus Disc demo released in a bundle alongside the original Metroid Prime. First, the room was called Portal Access A, a name which would go to a light Agon room in the final game. Second, the Scan Visor describes the "Dark Webbing" produced by Weblings rather than actual Weblings.

Third, an unused layer for this room present on the Bonus Disc, titled "Don't Load" contains several Darkling Tentacles, which do not appear in this room in the demo or the final game. In addition to the Darkling Tentacles, the layer also contains another creature named "dark_memory_tentacle", which resembles an Aqua Reaper. This tentacle's object type is "Actor", which generally includes cutscene characters and other objects with non-complex behavior, suggesting it was not intended to be an enemy. If the unused layer is enabled, the Dark Memory Tentacle simply spawns outside of the room and remains stationary, so its intended role is unknown. The tentacle's partially transparent texture and "Memory" name may indicate that it was intended to be in a state of transdimensional flux, as Retro internally referred to transdimensional objects as being "forgotten".
