Metroid: Samus Returns - Samus is Back is the official North American television commercial for Metroid: Samus Returns.

The 32 second commercial begins with a CG model of Samus walking towards the camera in a similar fashion to the Japanese Metroid II: Return of Samus commercial. The commercial is set against the background of space and a mixture of the Title theme and the Chozo Laboratory themes are heard throughout. Samus is initially dark, but then her Visor lights up, followed by her chest plate lights, shoulder pad lights, and finally, her entire Suit. A British female voice starts to narrate as Samus aims her Arm Cannon at the screen and begins charging a blast.

The commercial then cuts to gameplay footage on a Nintendo 3DS including of Samus grappling, interfacing with a Chozo Seal, evading the Diggernaut, battling Metroids, and demonstrations of Free Aim, the Melee Counter and Aeion abilities. At the end of the commercial, the 3DS flies into the foreground and shows Samus's first encounter in-game with a Metroid as the boxart, ESRB rating, release date, 3DS logo and the words "Game and System Sold Separately." are displayed. Samus rolls behind the display in her Morph Ball and unmorphs, firing a couple of shots off-screen. The last shot of the commercial is a red background with the words, "SUMMONING ALL HEROES", followed by the Nintendo logo. This is also present at the end of the Universe Trailer and SR388 Data File trailers.

The commercial can be viewed here. It can also be watched on the Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. It was created by Leo Burnett Worldwide, which previously created Dig and Airport / Internet, the commercials for Metroid Prime Hunters and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. [2]

Before the game's release, the video on Nintendo's YouTube channel was titled Metroid: Samus Returns - Samus is Back on 9/15. It is now titled Metroid: Samus Returns - Samus is Back. Game Available Now!
