"Final Mission Resolve" is an unnamed theme from Metroid: Other M. It was composed by Kuniaki Haishima and orchestrated by Sachiko Miyano.
Description[]
This theme is played after Commander Adam Malkovich sacrifices himself in Sector Zero, leaving Samus Aran to defeat Ridley and rescue a survivor. In context, it fulfills a similar role as Last Instructions from Metroid Fusion. However, it only plays briefly as Samus battles several Super Zebesians while leaving Sector Zero; once the sector's entrance begins to detach from the BOTTLE SHIP, the music switches to The Burning Lava Fish and then Nemesis Ridley, and this particular theme is never heard again.
This theme largely consists of energetic percussion beats, electronic instruments, and female choir. The song builds up to a proud and triumphant orchestral fanfare, prominently featuring brass instruments. The theme then reprises the energetic percussive segment, now with low horns instead of a choir. Overall, the tone of the song is meant to excite and motivate players as they approach the finale of Samus's mission.
