In Metroid Fusion
There is a creature in Fusion that highly resembles a Flitt, but is labelled as "Proto Metroid" in the List of creatures in Metroid Fusion. It has all of the characteristics of a traditional Flitt, other than the fact that it can absorb energy from you, grow in size, and can not turn invisible, which could simply be X Parasite variant traits.
