"Freezer west" is a room in Ferenia. It appears in Metroid Dread.
Description[]
This is one of two extremely cold rooms on the upper side of Ferenia. The initial entrance is a long corridor with a holographic display of the ship that brought the E.M.M.I. to ZDR. On either side of this hallway are two thick pillars with an ornate design on their front, a frozen banner displaying the Mawkin symbol, and a statue of what appears to be a perched Armadigger. Cables and icicles hang from the ceiling. Directly above and accessible via short tunnels is an Energy Recharge Station.
The left floor consists of Screw Attack Blocks. Destroying these brings Samus down another level, where a path to the right leads to a chain of Bomb Blocks, and further down is a shaft with two ledges, and an exit into the "grand concourse". Many icicles can be seen having frozen over the architecture in the background. Above the Bomb Block chain is a passage to another door, which leads into the adjacent freezer. Below that is a walled off chamber part of this room, but only accessible from the next through a Grapple Beam Door (the only one in Ferenia). The walled off chamber has little of note except another exit into the east freezer, and a passage downwards.
Dropping down, Samus will come to a tunnel that is obstructed with a Grapple Beam Block. After removing it, she will roll through a long tunnel partially made of solid ice that extends into the next freezer. This leads to a Missile Tank.
