Frigidite is a cold, ice-like substance found in the Phazon Mines sector in Metroid Prime. Frigidite can only be destroyed by the Plasma Beam. It serves as a freezing agent used by the Pirates, possibly for cooling machinery or containing Metroids.
The only occurrence of frigidite occurs within the room Elite Quarters Access, in which the icy substance covers a security gate unit to enter Elite Quarters.
