The Galactic Federation Academy, presumably located on Daiban, is a high school. Damara and her friend are freshmen here, with Damara's friend having come to study engineering. Both of them are very good students, something that a bully named Sir harasses them about. According to Damara, it is a "holy academy."
In Metroid: Other M, all of the 07th Platoon soldiers have "Galactic Federation Academy" in their credentials during the briefing cutscene.
