Gathering Hall Access is a room in the Chozo Ruins. It appears in Metroid Prime. It is a very narrow, square tunnel with pipes lining the walls, and harmless steam is released from these pipes as Samus moves through.
Connecting rooms[]
- Arboretum (via Missile Door Lock)
- Gathering Hall (via Blue Door)
Bugs[]
- Once the door to Gathering Hall opens, leafed branches will suddenly appear above the doorway, along with birds in the sky; once the door closes, they will swiftly disappear. This is because those branches and birds are part of the overlapping Gathering Hall data set and are considered irrelevant by the engine while the door is closed. This situation, in fact, inadvertently displays a property of the game's engine: only when at least one door to a room is open, the data in that room is considered relevant (this can be further observed through a sudden freeze of enemy positions on the radar upon door closure), with the notable exception of the room's basic collision data (a property well-known to players exploring the game's secret worlds).
