General InterWorld Elevator (as named internally) is an ambient theme in Metroid Prime. The theme was composed by Kenji Yamamoto, and is not included on the Metroid Prime & Fusion Original Soundtracks or Nintendo Music app.
Description[]
As the name might imply, it plays in rooms containing elevators that connect areas of Tallon IV. It features the harmonic notes and low drones originating from the Super Metroid remix of Silence, played at a slower tempo and without the iconic melody.
This theme does not play in elevator rooms on the Frigate Orpheon, where any lifts connect between decks of the ship, or elevators between levels of the Phazon Mines. It does, however, play in the Crater Entry Point, which does not contain an elevator at all (but is likewise the point that Samus enters the Impact Crater, via warp).
In Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, this theme was replaced by Ele, although it still plays in Transport to Temple Grounds in the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc.
