In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Generator A is the first Generator that Samus must activate on Norion to activate the the orbital Defense Cannon. It holds several "Jolly Roger" Drones, but otherwise has very little protection compared to the other Generators. Once Samus reaches the Generator room, some Aerotroopers come and detonate several charges placed on the generator, heavily damaging it. They then leave before Samus can fire at them, leaving her surrounded by "Jolly Roger" Drones. This battle is very reminiscent of the Hive Mecha battle from Metroid Prime, although easier. Samus then has to activate a manual override to deactivate the security panels and return the generator to a down postition. She then has to activate the generator itself.
Once Generator A is back on-line, Samus receives a transmission from Admiral Dane about the Leviathan.
