This article is about the creature found aboard the B.S.L. Station. You may be looking for the Zebesian creature Geruta.
Multiple Geruda

Multiple Geruda surround Samus in Sector 3.

The Geruda (ゲルーダ Gerūda?)[1], also known as Skree[2], is an enemy in Metroid Fusion. They are encountered throughout Sector 3 aboard the Biologic Space Laboratories research station.

They appear somewhat similar to Gerutas in both name and physical structure. This relationship is heavily supported by the fact that their Japanese names are spelled identically; therefore, the Nintendo Official Guide Book for Metroid Fusion was likely referring to the Geruda as the same species as Geruta.

They possess large limbs in their front which are used offensively against targets. Curiously, there are no visible segments or appendages on a Geruda's body that would likely help it levitate into the air, not even the jet boosters commonly located on the Geruta's hind limbs. Despite this, they are seen flying above ground in a wave-like pattern using unknown means.

The lifeforms typically fly back and forth until an enemy is spotted, which they will then proceed to swoop down upon while raking the foe with their claws. They have a blue body with red arms and white claws. Gerudas also seem to be immune to the fiery effects of lava.
