A Gold Credit is a type of Bonus Credit in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Metroid Prime Trilogy. They are acquired by defeating bosses on different difficulty modes or by destroying Red Phaazoids. Their Logbook entry states that destroying them will yield a "rare item", Gold Credits. Certain mission objectives provide Gold Credits as well.
Gold Credits can also be unlocked in the Special Mission flash game; here, they are referred to as Yellow Credits. They come in two sets of five for a total of ten. Each Yellow Credit comes with a number and riddle that must be solved to form a five-digit Access Code, which can be entered into a Key Code terminal to unlock a wallpaper.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Premiere Edition[]
- Gold Credits
- "Defeating bosses and completing major objectives earns you gold credits. These show up as gold credit icons on the HUD once a specific task is completed. Later in the game, you encounter Red Phaazoids. Killing these entities also earns you gold credits. However, you must physically grab these credits, which appear as gold floating icons once the Red Phaazoid is defeated. If you finished the game on Normal difficulty, try playing it on Veteran to earn more gold credits when defeating bosses."
Trivia[]
- A similar Gold Credit is used as an icon in the multiplayer mode of Metroid Prime Hunters, representing a player who takes first place in a multiplayer match.
