The Harvesting Beam Cannon is a weapon used by the Phazon Harvester Drone. It can be a nuisance to Samus as she traverses Phazon Harvesting. The beam cannon targets Samus' current location or the bridge that she will move to next, attempting to either hit her or destroy the bridges above the bottom of the room. The cannon highlights an area with a white reticule, and when about to fire, the reticule turns red, before the HUD flashes white and whatever area is highlighted is damaged or destroyed. These attacks can generally be avoided with the Space Jump Boots, or by using an exposed Grab Ledge.
