Heion1 (as named internally) is an ambient theme in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It was composed by Kenji Yamamoto.
The theme is more ambient and calm in comparison to most Metroid themes, while still being unsettling and suggesting an impending doom. It should be noted that in Japanese, "heion" means "peaceful". This is the first of two "Heion" themes, with the other being "Heion2".
It plays on the G.F.S. Olympus before and after the invasion on Norion, when the ship is not on alert. The theme also plays in Eastern SkyTown, Elysia, on Norion a month after the invasion, The hallway of Elysia's Main Docking Bay before the fight with Ghor, and in Transit Station 0205 of Pirate Command on the Pirate Homeworld, when the Demolition Trooper escort mission is completed.
The theme can be heard here.
