The Helm Room is a room on the Celestial Archives. It appears in Metroid Prime Hunters.
Description[]
This is the second room Samus will enter on the Celestial Archives. It actually consists of three rooms.
The first room is a wide space containing the helm of the Archives, hence the name. A large Synergy Processor is situated in the middle of the Helm Room, connected to the ceiling via a large orange pipe. It works with the Synergy Drive, a glowing panel in the floor, to adjust the station's orbit and rotation, an automated process that does not require Alimbic intervention. Large windows with a view of outer space make up most of the left wall. Next to the Processor is a ramp leading up to a higher walkway; from here the helm can be scanned, revealing the same message that brought Samus to the Alimbic Cluster: "The secret to Ultimate Power lies in the Alimbic Cluster." The walkway connects to another Synergy Processor, which cannot be scanned, with another helm at its top. Past this is the exit door, which is initially locked, until Samus scans a Switch next to it.
The door gives way to a loading corridor, and past this, a small chamber with a skybox in the ceiling. Crates are stacked on the left side of the room; they cannot be destroyed for pick-ups. Upon first entry, the door to the next room will lock and Samus will be forced to fight a swarm of four Psycho Bits. Later, when she attempts to escape the Celestial Archives and arrives in the first half of the Helm Room, Samus will encounter her first two Guardians. Once these have been defeated, she will be free to continue. On subsequent visits to this room, there is a chance for Samus to encounter another Guardian, or a rival Bounty Hunter.
