Hitesh Patel (born September 1962) is a British visual effects supervisor, shoot supervisor and aerial unit director. From 1993 to 2017, Patel was a VFX Supervisor at The Mill. One of the commercials he worked on was Past is Prologue, the live-action commercial for Metroid: Other M.
According to The Mill's page for the commercial on their website: "There were many complicated effects in this spot including the creation of a fake contra-zoom. To do this Filip's team, joined by VFX Supervisor Hitesh Patel, shot the actress locked off twice. Lead Flame Artist Chris Knight morphed the two takes together, while pushing the background backwards creating an effect that is usually shot in camera."
Patel has since left The Mill and is currently a VFX Supervisor at Hi-Tech Effects Limited.[1] In the late 1980s he was an analyst programmer at BBC Television, and an Animator at Imagic for two years.
